About patrick
I grew up in Nonna’s kitchen, in a small town in the Italian speaking region of Switzerland called Ticino. My small hands often sticky with tomato sauce and flour as I watched her move with effortless grace. Mornings meant the smell of simmering ragù and freshly baked focaccia; afternoons were for rolling pillowy pasta and learning the rhythm of kneading dough. Nonna taught me that the heart of every dish is patience — a slow simmer, a gentle toss, a careful seasoning — and that food is a language of love passed down through generations.
From her I learned the secrets behind perfect meatballs, the art of balancing basil and garlic, and why a good soffritto can change everything. I remember tasting as I learned, asking questions between tasks, and being entrusted with small but important jobs: stirring, shaping, tasting, and eventually teaching others. Those afternoons shaped not just my cooking, but my sense of home and the belief that meals are where memories are made.
Now I bring that old-world authenticity to new ideas — honoring tradition while daring to innovate. Whether recreating a classic nonna recipe exactly as she taught me or reimagining it with a contemporary twist, I cook with the same care and intention she taught me: food that comforts, connects, and tells a story.
